Is WARDOGS down right now?

This fan site has no live server telemetry. The last dated official notice we can cite is the Season 2 reopening: maintenance on 15 Oct 2026 ran 08:00–09:30 UTC (extended), and BULKHEAD announced servers back online at 09:59 UTC, 15 Oct 2026. For a live outage, check the game's Steam news hub and official channels before changing anything on your PC — a queue or an unchanged login screen during a known outage is a server problem, not your install.

WD-L020 — launcher crash (FIXED in Update 0.1.2)

What it is: a launch-stage crash. The WD-L020 prefix stays the same while a suffix may change between attempts.

Documented cause & fix: the conflict was with Windows 11 preview update KB5124010. Update 0.1.2 (30 Sep 2026) fixed that branch. Restart Steam so the update applies, then verify the game files. Team17's earlier suggestion to remove KB5124010 was an optional stopgap — it should no longer be necessary, and you should not force-remove Windows updates or disable anti-cheat.

WD-L014 & WD-L018 — launch errors under investigation

WD-L014 is commonly reported with an “Unable to launch WARDOGS” message; WD-L018 is a separate launch error. The developers acknowledged both on 30 Sep 2026 and said a fix is in the works; as of 22 Oct 2026 no fix had been announced in the sources below. General official steps in the meantime: verify Steam files, update GPU drivers, and repair the bundled Elytra anti-cheat (repairing Elytra is one of Team17's own steps — it will not get you banned). WARDOGS does not currently require Secure Boot or a TPM.
